"Misty" is a jazz standard written in 1954 by pianist Erroll Garner. He composed it as an instrumental on the traditional 32-bar format and recorded it for the album Contrasts in 1955. The Song has been sung by many artists including Sara Vaughn (1958) and Ray Stevens (1975), however Johnny Mathis' rendition on his "Heavenly" Album in 1959 was the most memorable.
